Backorders:

We work with our partner card shops in Japan to offer you a full selection of imported trading card products through our backorder system.

Backorders are items that are for sale in our inventory that haven't arrived at our card shop in the US yet. This inventory is "in-stock" and made available for purchase, but will have a greater than usual handling time. 

We allow backorders through our store so that you have access to our full inventory every day, whether its on our shelves at the Iowa City store, or coming straight from Japan! 

If an item is out of stock for the moment in our US shop, you'll be able to purchase it through the backorder system if its available from our Japanese partners.

The backorder system allows you to purchase anything from the full inventory of Japanese trading cards offered by Moxie Card Shop instead of waiting for a restock. This also allows us to offer the absolute *best* prices on Japanese trading cards as accessibly as possible.

Due to the logistics of the backorder system, a shipping & handling time of 7-10 days should be expected. Backordered items generally cannot be canceled once they are ordered. 

Regular order items and backorder items will be shipped together once the backorder shipment arrives.

Pre-Orders:

Moxie Card Shop offers pre-order sales on products that have been reserved or allocated in advance by our shop from our distribution partners. 

Items purchased together with a pre-order item will be shipped together after the pre-order item is made available. If you would like to receive regular order items in the typical shipping and handling window, please make sure to purchase pre-order items separately.

Some pre-orders are placed by Moxie Card Shop to our distributors based on customer orders at our shop; therefore, pre-orders cannot be canceled after they are placed. 

We happily reserve the right to issue partial refunds and cash back at our discretion to pre-orders if we are able to reduce the price after your order is placed. 

For pre-orders from overseas regions such as Japan, Korea, and China we will ship pre-orders as soon as they arrive; but allow 7-10 days for orders to arrive in the United States after the release date.
